William Ronald Ferrell

          William Ronald Ferrell, 83, of Olympia, KY, passed away Tuesday morning January 20, 2026 at Saint Joseph Hospital (Main), Lexington, KY.

          Born November 13, 1942 in Bourbon County, KY, he was a son of the late Guy Ferrell and the late Ula Igo Ferrell. He was a former truck driver for Ferrell’s Lumber And Logging and for Logan Lawson Trucking and was a member of the Mudlick First Church Of God.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moses and Clarissa Ferrell and a grandson, Michael Lee Ferrell.

          Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Swartz Ferrell, a son: Ronald Stephen Ferrell and his wife Regina Grace, a grandson: Joshua Cody Ferrell and fiancée Norah Ashoura. Also surviving is a niece, Elizabeth Setters and a nephew Jerry Miles “Bo” Smith and several great nephews and great nieces and cousins.

          Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY, with Rev. Mark Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Swartz Cemetery, Sour Springs Road, Olympia, KY.

          Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM.

          Serving as pallbearers: Jim Ferrell, Tyler Ferrell, Matthew Setters, Steve Becraft, Jordan Karrick, Cary Swartz and Dean Trusty. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joshua Ferrell, Boyd Ferrell, Buddy Ferrell, David Lawson, Barbara Razor, Robbie Sexton and Doug Thomas.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the funeral home.
