William Carson “Bill” Green, 83, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Wednesday evening at his residence.
Born June 14, 1942 at Salt Lick, KY, he was a son of the late Henry and Ethel Thompson Green. He was a United States Army veteran, a retired employee of Delco-Remy, Muncie, IN and was of the protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Lillian Green, Betty Green Crouch and Callie Sue Green Bonta and 5 brothers: Albert, Ollie, Earl, Clyde and John Green.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Green, a daughter, Janette Paynter and her husband Stephen, a son, Brent Green and his wife Kinra, a sister, Opal Louise Dinn, 2 brothers, Chester Greene and Robert “Bert” Green and his wife Mary Lou, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday May 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Polksville Cemetery with graveside military honors given by Morehead American Legion Post #126.
