William Tex Ward, 70, of Fraley Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Thursday December 3, 2015 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.

          Born at Frenchburg, KY September 3, 1945 the son of the late Hughie and Lucy Luke Ward, he was a retired carpenter and farmer.

          Survivors include 3 daughters, Melinda Ward (William Combs), Kimberly Ward and Pamela Ward (Emanuel Hardin) all of Salt Lick, KY, 1 step-son, Steven Baber of Salt Lick, 3 brothers, Carl Ward of Dayton, OH, Ronald Ward and Arnold Ward (Nancy) both of Salt Lick, KY, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Edith Ward, Shirley Green, Inez Ward and Gladys McIntosh, 3 brothers, Elmer, Delmer and Chelmer Ward.

          Funeral services will be conducted Monday December 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
