Kevin Joe “Tater” Helton, 48, of Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday August 13, 2016.

          Born July 29, 1968. He was a former heavy equipment operator.

          Survivors include his mother, Sharon Kay Neff Conn and her husband Tommy, his wife, Brittany Crouch, 2 daughters, Megan Helton Zimmerman and her husband Bruce and Hailey Helton, 1 son, Christopher Kyle Helton, 1 sister, Sheila Helton Campbell, 1 half-brother, Eddie Maze, 4 grandchildren, Landen Peck, Raylee Peck, Avalynn Zimmerman and Jayci Zimmerman, 2 nephews, Alex Campbell and Aaron Rose, several aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt, Diana Deschenes, special uncle, Mike Neff and a special friend, Kristi Helton.

          Preceding him in death was his father, Eddie Joe Helton and grandparents, Edna Christy, Asa and Ruth Helton and John and Blanche Fowler.

          Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00PM Thursday August 18 at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Salt Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday August 17 after 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
