James Allen Parker, Sr., 67, of 500 Wright Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.
Born May 17, 1948, he was the son of the late George W. and Bertha Watkins Parker. He was a retired, self-employed painter and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Winnie Wheeland Parker, 1 daughter, Bertha Parker of Salt Lick, KY, 2 sons, Airren Wheeland of Columbus, IN and James A. Parker, Jr. of Salt Lick, KY, 4 sisters, Judy Clark, Brenda McFall, Betty Peverly and Patsy Martin, 1 brother, Robert Buchanan, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday September 29, 2015 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home. There will be no services.
