Loretta Bernice Purvis, 80, of Moores Ferry Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday June 11, 2016 at University Of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

          Born March 20, 1936, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late Carlos Purvis.

          Survivors include her mother, Mary Inez Goodpaster, 2 daughters, Dixie Black (Tim Martin) and Regina Dotson (David) all of Salt Lick, 1 brother, Wendell Goodpaster (Kay) of Salt Lick, 4 granddaughters, Amy Black (Chuck Prince), Chelsea Lewis (Frank Patton), Abby Martin and Destiny Dotson and 1 great-granddaughter, Alexis Armstrong.

          Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday June 14 at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. John Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at the Hedrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday June 13 at the funeral home.
